Adventures Online is a free-to-play multiplayer online role-playing game built around tactical hex-grid combat and a shared persistent world. Create a hero from six races and six classes, fight turn-based battles where positioning and terrain matter more than raw stats, and shape a living world alongside other players in real time.
The game is and always will be free. Optional cosmetic founder packs support development. No pay-to-win, no loot boxes, no virtual currency, no power gating.
Note: A free Adventures Online account is required to play. You can create one right in the game. Native Steam sign-in is planned for a future update.
Features
Tactical hex-grid combat — turn-based battles with spells, abilities, and positioning. Terrain and positioning actually matter.

6 races and 6 classes — Human, Elf, Dwarf, Orc, Halfling, Gnome paired with Fighter, Warden, Thief, Ranger, Paladin, Wizard. Every combination plays differently.

Persistent shared world — explore a real-time map populated by live players. Day/night cycles, roaming monsters, hidden ruins, instanced dungeons.

Deep crafting — Smithing, Alchemy, Cooking, Enchanting, and more. Over 100 recipes. Crafted gear feeds back into hex-grid encounters.

Public and Private modes — pick instanced private worlds or the live shared shard, on a per-character basis. Switch any time. Towns are always public and dungeons are always private.

Cross-platform — play in any modern browser, or the Windows desktop client.

How we monetize
Adventures Online is operated by Adventures Online LLC, a small independent studio. The base game is free forever and contains every gameplay system. Optional cosmetic Founder Packs (Bronze, Silver, Gold) are planned as Steam DLC. They will give permanent visual flair: chat badges, character titles, walking particle effects, character auras, companion pets, and reserved character names. Cosmetics never affect gameplay outcomes, character power, or progression speed.
Active development
Adventures Online is in active development by an independent studio. The game is playable now and the world expands continuously. Always-online. An active server connection is required, so downtime or maintenance will affect availability. We post planned downtime notices in advance and a status banner in the game itself when servers go down.
