The frontier was already dangerous. Now something else has arrived.
False Horizons is a third-person cooperative action and survival game set in a remote Western town besieged by strange creatures and unexplained events. One player takes on the role of the town's elected Sheriff, while friends join the posse as deputies. Together, you'll explore the frontier, gather resources, investigate the growing threat, and prepare your town for what comes after sundown.
By day, the frontier is yours to explore. Travel across a large open-world map filled with mines, farms, logging camps, abandoned cabins, wilderness, and other points of interest. Gather valuable resources, search for supplies, complete objectives, and investigate strange sightings to learn more about the creatures attacking your home.
But daylight doesn't last forever.
When night falls, the frontier becomes a battlefield. Creatures emerge from the darkness and launch increasingly dangerous raids against the town and its surrounding settlements. Fight alongside your posse, protect important locations, and use everything you gathered during the day to survive until morning. Anything left undefended may not be standing when the sun comes back up.
SHERIFF AND DEPUTIES
Every posse needs a Sheriff.
The host serves as the elected Sheriff, leading the town while other players join as deputies. Work together to decide where to explore, what resources are worth pursuing, and how to prepare for the coming night. Split up to cover more ground or ride together when the frontier gets dangerous.
EXPLORE THE FRONTIER
The town is only one part of a much larger world. Ride out into the wilderness and discover mines, ranches, camps, hidden locations, resources, and unexpected encounters scattered throughout the frontier.
Every day gives you limited time before nightfall, forcing your posse to decide what matters most. Push farther into unexplored territory for better opportunities, investigate something suspicious, or head home early and make sure the town is ready.
PREPARE BY DAY
What you accomplish during the day determines what you have available when darkness arrives.
Gather resources, acquire weapons and supplies, strengthen important locations, and prepare defenses against future attacks. As you investigate the strange events occurring throughout the region, you'll begin to uncover what is attacking the frontier—and what it wants.
SURVIVE THE NIGHT
At sundown, preparation gives way to survival.
Nightly raids threaten the town and the locations surrounding it. Fight off waves of strange creatures, protect your objectives, and keep your defenses from being overwhelmed. As the threat grows, surviving each night will require better equipment, stronger defenses, and a posse willing to work together.
Explore by day. Prepare before sundown. Defend the frontier at night.
Whatever is out there isn't going away.
