Little Dao

Developed entirely by a solo independent developer, Little Dao is a side-scrolling eastern fantasy MMORPG set on a fictional mainland where the rivalry between Ru and Mo shapes the fate of ordinary people, wandering cultivators, and the monsters pressing in from beyond the realm.
You begin in a village on the edge of the mainland and travel through mountain paths, ancient roads, floating ruins, and monster-infested regions. Along the way, you meet NPCs, accept quests, gather resources, upgrade your character, and make choices that decide how your story develops.
Real-time side-scrolling combat
Fight monsters directly on the map using movement, positioning, dodges, attacks, and skills. Different enemies use different attack patterns, so surviving encounters is about reading the battlefield, timing your actions, and improving your build over time.
Character growth and equipment
Progress your character by completing quests, earning rewards, improving combat abilities, and managing equipment through the backpack and shop systems. Weapons, items, and resources help you prepare for stronger enemies and new regions of the mainland.
Quests, exploration, and story
Talk to villagers, faction guides, merchants, and other characters to uncover the story of the mainland. Explore peaceful settlements, ancient gates, ruins, and wilderness areas while learning how the Ru-Mo conflict and the arrival of otherworldly monsters affect the world.
Guilds and social play
Meet other players, build relationships, and form guild power with friends. The guild and friend systems are designed around long-term progression, cooperation, and creating your own legend on the mainland.
