Talk to your villagers in plain English. Walk up to anyone in town and type what you want. Ask a builder to raise a wall, comfort a grieving neighbor, or settle an argument before it turns into a feud.
They don't have to listen. Every villager has their own personality, memory, and limits. If they are exhausted, hungry, or think you are being a jerk, they will tell you no to your face.
Be kind, or force their hand.
Earn their trust: Keep them fed, rested, and safe so they pitch in willingly.
Use your power: Spend divine power to force obedience on the spot. They will kneel and do the work, and everyone watching will remember what you did.
Survive a living world: Build your settlement, investigate murders in town, and defend your people against raiders, trolls, and rival gods.
