Soup's Tail

Soup's Tail is a hand-drawn, story-first, adventure game where you take on the role of Olive, a recently dead human, who now has to navigate the afterlife. Surprises await her, as it's nothing like she expected. Soup's Tail features a card game you play as you explore the world of the dead.

Join Olive on a journey about the hardship of life and the turmoil of death. When Olive dies in a tragic car accident, she loses not only her life but also her child and husband. She wakes in the land of Shimmerfield. A place created by the imagination and memories of the dead. She must travel this afterlife without her family, wondering if she’ll ever see them again. In Shimmerfield, she'll meet other spirits that have died. Some long, long ago. They're all on a mission. One that, they're told, has been given to them by the gods themselves.

Explore the world of Shimmerfield and learn about your new duty as a ghost. Take on your first mission with help from the black cat named Soup and your new mentor Reynard.
Twist and turn your new ghost body as you explore. Olive's new form can move like cloth. It can twist and soak up water. Or it can stretch out flat to reach further and higher.

Play Cards as you adventure. Battle against different opponents as your story progresses. Hone your strategy in this 1v1 card battler.

Find cards as you search the environment high and low, or add them to your deck as you beat opponents. Many opponents are optional to play against, but be warned, many are not. Get ahead of the difficultly by playing everyone to add their cards to your deck.

Make choices during your mission that impact how your story ends. Other choices can determine how Olive is regarded. Will you do your best to be understanding and kind, or rude and quick to judge?   
    
Collect items that can be displayed in your new house. After you win your opponents card, you can play everyone in Shimmerfield again to get items to decorate your home. Can you get them all?
