What's the point of surviving if you have nothing to protect?
You start with nothing but your hands - scavenging, crafting and clawing your way through the first few nights. Survival is only the beginning. Group up with survivors, restore crucial infrastructure and broken buildings to turn ruins into a working colony. She does not like you being here, so be prepared to defend your colony against constant attacks.
All of this in first person. You're determined to rebuild society one step at a time, no matter what comes your way.
Survival First
Hunger, thirst and health - every day is a struggle. Scavenge for food, water and medical supplies to keep yourself alive. Your colony can not survive without you afterall.

Craft and refine
Turn scrap into tools and tools into infrastructure. Refine raw materials and scraps into equipment your colony can not survive without.

Rebuild a ruined world
Restore collapsed buildings to unlock new capabilities and grown your colony into a fully functional civilization.

Grow your colony
Recruit survivors and put them to work. Every person you bring in makes your colony stronger, but also gives you more to lose.

Don't lose your footing
When the horde comes, your people are your most valuable resource - defend them with your life.
