Firebase

There were over 8,000 fire support bases in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. These were prime targets for attacks by NVA and Vietcong forces. You are assigned to one such base.

You are an average soldier in the heat of the Vietnam War. On a seemingly normal day on Fire Support Base Hammer, a massive siege against the small outpost is initiated by the Vietcong. It is the beginning of the Tet Offensive. You must now survive wave after wave of attacks by the enemy. Using your rifle, machine guns, grenade launchers, and even artillery and air strikes, do whatever it takes to keep the enemy from overrunning the firebase. Gather your ammunition and stage your fighting positions in preparation for each progressively intense wave.
This is a First Person Shooter, "tower defense" style game that captures the intensity of the Tet Offensive. Offering unique game mechanics iconic of the Vietnam War, such as calling in Napalm strikes and M16 jamming. Firebase immerses you in the mud and grit of combat in South East Asia. You will face a near endless onslaught of enemies attempting to overrun your base. You must fight them off using every resource available to you. Your firebase depends on your fortitude and resolve.

The player will also have to survive enemy artillery strikes against the base before defending it against large infantry assaults.

The game features a day/night cycle. The player must fight against enemies even at night using the light of illumination rounds bursting in the air.
