STORY
Legumi are unusual little bean-eating creatures. They live in small, insular colonies found around the world, and since time immemorial have endeavoured on individual Quests for True Happiness. 
But one day long ago, for one reason or another, they simply stopped. Now, the tradition has been recovered, and all is well. 
You play as Delve, an investigative historian who is haunted by the question of why these quests ever stopped, and what’s preventing them from stopping again. You’ve made the journey to the Great Galoona Archive, which once housed the greatest collection of works of all Legumi-kind. Generations ago, the proprietor dumped the entire collection into the nearby Galoona Lagoon. Your hope is that, summoning your courage and wits, you’re able to recover enough of the collection to answer your questions. 
It won’t be easy; the lagoon is cursed. Paths tangle and shuffle and lead to different places day to day. It’s also full of monsters, ruins, caves, traps, and all manner of other horrific things. 
GAMEPLAY
You have sixty seconds to live, but it’s not as scary as it sounds. Eat a bean, get ten more seconds back. There are beans to harvest everywhere, and sixty seconds after they harvest, they grow back. As long as you know where two vines are, you’ll never starve.
Sometimes, you’ll encounter monsters. They’re after your beans. You can give them to them, or you can use pips to frighten them away.
Pips are harmless little explosives. You get two whenever you eat a bean. They pop at a random value between 0 and 3, and each monster has a bravery number you have to hit by throwing as many pips as you think you need to. Simple! You can also offer monsters certain items which will make them your companions for a time. 
Each level of the lagoon is a randomly laid-out patchwork maze of hand-crafted worlds. Within each world, a series of exits, some randomly distributed bean vines and monsters, and with any luck, an Echo Vessel.
