The King is fickle, and a new one sits on the throne each run. One wants quantity and forgives almost anything if the barrels arrive on time. Another cares about appearance and expects your city to look rich. Each King changes what a good strategy looks like before you place a single building.

Plan your run around a procedurally generated world full of resources and events. Place buildings, assign workers, and respond to whatever the map sends you. Group related buildings into specialized districts to raise production across the city, and turn a scattered settlement into a city with a purpose.

Every run ends with one big event. A royal festival that demands more beer in one season than you normally brew in five. A hard winter that freezes your fields and stops your gathering. A spirit that looms over your city and drains your population until you find a way to satisfy it. You know it is coming from the start.


Every run leaves you with more than you started with. New buildings, new events, and new merchants join the world. Then you place your first foundation on fresh ground, under a new King, and begin again.
