EGGS, PEGS, ONE EAGLE

Peagle XP is a pachinko roguelite. You play an eagle firing eggs onto a board full of pegs: every shot is a cascade of bounces, and everything that pops scores points. Between levels, the shop lets you spend your winnings on passives. Then it's back to a tougher board.

A world is eleven levels long and ends with a boss. Beating it unlocks the next world, and nothing else. Every run starts from scratch, and the build you put together along the way decides how it ends.

A BUILD UNDER CONSTRAINTS

The game has 61 passives, from common to legendary, for only eight slots. Once they're all full, taking a new card means selling one you already own. That's where runs are won and lost.

Every level also hides a purple peg, deliberately placed somewhere hard to reach. Hit it and a wheel spins, leaving you with one of the game's fifteen power-ups: Multiball, Fireball, Zombie Egg, Mirror Egg, Golden Clutch…

FIVE WORLDS

The Forest works as a school and changes no rules. Canyon, Marsh, Cavern and Peaks each impose their own: a twister that roams the board, a tide that keeps rising, a stalactite that moves between shots, black ice that sends pegs sliding. The bosses push that rule as far as it goes.

SIX EAGLES

Johnny, Wally, Jeffy, Eddy, Danny and Lubby don't shoot the same way. One detonates his egg mid-flight, another freezes it, a third tilts it, a fourth launches a second one. Each of these powers has a price, and it's always paid in something you're already managing.

SEVERAL WAYS TO PLAY

• Normal: the full loop, level, shop, level.
• Night: the same worlds and bosses, with no shop and higher score targets.
• Arcade: an endless run in the world of your choice, with an online leaderboard for each world.
• Party: two to six players around a single mouse. Everyone takes the same shot on the same board, and a table rule decides who takes the fall.

Play with mouse, keyboard or controller, in English or French.

Eagles like to gamble. Tough luck for their offspring.
