“In a world ravaged by an endless industrial war, nations have given way to powerful corporations, willing to sacrifice the planet to maintain their dominance. The uncontrolled exploitation of an unstable energy source has opened portals leading to the Ashen Lands, deadly zones that must be sealed off without ever questioning the origin of the disaster.”

Choose your mission!
Whether you’re going alone or with others, it all begins in the mercenaries’ zeppelin. Select your mission, and you’ll be deployed immediately expendable but indispensable. Your objective: to repel the entities from the Ashlands that are spreading into our world.

Gear up!
That’s right! Gear up—but don’t just pick any weapon. Choose the one that matches the unique playstyle you’re looking for. Don’t forget your consumables… but be careful not to drain your team’s money supply too much (if you’re playing in co-op).

Deploy !
For your “convenience,” you’ll be dropped off right where your mission begins. Some commanders, on the other hand, would just toss you into the void and hope you land in the right spot.

Gain power-ups during your runs!
Equip attachments to your weapon by collecting the orbs that enemies drop when you eliminate them! Make the right choices… or you’ll regret it when you face the boss.

Explore hostile areas
As soon as you hit the ground, you’ll realize you’re not alone… and that the creatures of the Ashlands won’t give you a moment’s peace. Work together, watch your shots, and advance as a team to eliminate enemies and eradicate the nests corrupting the area.

Your mission will be accomplished… but not every time
As long as you don't run away, the creatures of the Ashlands will do everything in their power to silence you. Death will be a frequent occurrence almost familiar before you master your mission. But victory will bring you a precious reward: enough to strengthen your arsenal for the next mission.

Upgrade your weapons!
After each mission, the armorer opens his arsenal to you, and the scientist shares his discoveries—fueled by the organic Nirvium you’ve wrested from your enemies. Every weakness you identify can become the advantage that will lead you to the end of your mission.

Thirst for money, duty to survive?
Mercenaries to the end, you press on for one reason alone: money. Our world is falling apart, and no one else is coming to save it. Your reward? A hefty sum to fund your next expedition.

When will players be able to test the game?
We’ll be organizing several playtest sessions so you can try out different versions of the game as it’s being developed.
These playtests will allow us to:

Gather your feedback to guide the rest of the development process

We’ll use Steam’s official Playtests feature, which includes a structured feedback form.
Will the game feature multiplayer?
“Brothers for Once will be playable in single-player and local co-op modes.
Online co-op is not planned at this time, but we remain open to the idea depending on community demand.”
How can I track the game's progress?
We'll be hosting live streams to showcase our progress, gather feedback, and answer questions. Updates about the production and the team will be posted on our social media channels.
