Burnknowe Golf Club

Welcome to Scotland. Welcome to Burnknowe Golf Club.
Build the golf club you've always wanted to play. Start with a pristine patch of Scottish wilderness and transform it into a thriving destination with its own character, challenges, and stories. Sculpt the land, design every hole, manage your staff, and grow your club through the dynamic changing of the seasons.

Design a Course That’s Truly Yours
There is no fixed layout—your course is yours to create from the ground up. Choose between links or parkland in the dramatic Scottish Highlands or rolling Lowlands, surrounded by glens or nestled next to the ocean.
Shape the Landscape: Sculpt rolling fairways, dramatic slopes, and strategic hazards.

Paint the Terrain: Lay down greens, bunkers, rough, water, and foliage.

Route the Holes: Guide golfers through the Scottish glens and dictate exactly how they experience the course.

Run a Club with Character
A great golf course needs more than great holes. Hire and manage staff, maintain the grounds, upgrade your clubhouse, and keep your members happy. Balance the everyday demands of running a local club with your ambitions for its future. Choose your captain from season to season, navigating the unique pros and cons their leadership brings to your club.

From Local Greens to Global Destination
Improve course conditions, invest in top-tier facilities, and attract a wider audience to build your club's prestige. As your reputation grows, so do your opportunities. Run events and tournaments, tackle bigger management challenges, and see just how far you can take your club.
A Living, Breathing Ecosystem
Watch your course come alive. Golfers arrive for their rounds, staff go about their daily routines, and dynamic weather rolls across the landscape. Experience physics-based weather where wind ripples through the grass, morning light gives way to bright afternoons, and the Northern Lights break through the evening clouds.

A Field Guide to Your Patch of Scotland
Burnknowe Golf Club comes with a naturalist's handbook, and your course design fills it. Wildlife arrives when the environment suits them:
A pond brings the grey heron.

The woods shelter roe deer and foxes.

Robins, rooks, and starlings settle in the brush.

The glen, the burn, the loch, the moor, and the links each have a page of their own. Leave the rough unmown, keep natural water features, and let old trees stand to invite the wild in. Your members will notice, and so will your reputation.

Capture the Moment
Spot something rare? Freeze time with Photo Mode. Fly a free camera, adjust the sun, tweak the weather, and pull focus onto a deer at the edge of the wood. Fill your field guide page by page through the year; though be quick, as some creatures are notoriously camera-shy, often photographed just after they've left.
