Nordic

Nordic is a PS1-aesthetic "foddylike" cross-country skiing game with drop-in drop-out multiplayer.  Nordic captures what makes cross-country skiing great; rhythm & cadence, the calm of nature and exploring the natural world with your friends!  It also captures the gruelling nature of the sport.  You must manage your energy and time your moments to push - especially if you want to be competitive and race.  All of this with complete control of each of your limbs.  
Game Design
Nordic skiing is not alpine.  Don't expect to see crazy flips or other SSX-style tricks.  Nordic is about rhythm and pace.  It's about finding your groove (sometimes literally, in classic ski tracks).  I always thought nordic skiing would translate well to a video game if it could capture the tactile feel of the technique on a game controller.  For that reason, the game has been designed with a controller in mind.  I have given a "foddylike" approach to the control scheme as you have skill expression over each of your limbs.  In this way you are free to ski in whatever style you want.

Custom Trail — ski real GPS trails from around the world, with true elevation, difficulty signs, and a paper trail map
