A country road appeared behind the door. A runaway car crashed into a roadside tree, burning, its hood dented, wisps of smoke rising. May, sitting in the driver's seat, was dead, covered in blood.
This is a journey seen through the rearview mirror. Who exactly is May? Why does "I" need to keep killing May? Coming to your senses, you find yourself gripping another doorknob, passing through another corridor, and arriving at the hub of a series of interconnected rooms, each containing the remains of your deceased friend.
May, Be Dead comprises four chapters. In the game, "erasing" someone's existence becomes your only path to progress. The art style of May, Be Dead draws inspiration from various works of theater, literature, film, and architecture. The game abandons the traditional game structure, prioritizing "monotony" and spatial narrative as its core experience.
