The 17th year of Chongzhen. The capital has fallen.
The Liaodong frontier is lost. Beyond the pass, the living flee and the dead are left behind. Deserters, singing girls, Taoist priests, wandering healers—a rabble of those who can no longer stay, cobble together a company marching south.
Turn-Based Formation Combat: Position your ranks, time your blocks, shift your ground—every move may be someone's last.
Twelve Exiles: Each has their own past, temper, and ties. They will be wounded, broken, scarred—and some will die forever, their names etched into the Roll of the Departed.
Camps & the Road of Exile: Pitch camp, ration food, assign night watches; chart your route across the map, through blizzards, plague, and pursuing foes.
Stress & Morale: Wounds cut flesh, but also the spirit. Anxiety, fear, and collapse will show themselves in the thick of battle.
Ink-Wash Woodcut Art: A hand-painted, dark monochrome style—the sky over the late Ming never once brightened.
Multiple Endings: Yunnan or Quanzhou—will you fight for a slim chance at life, or abandon your homeland forever?
