Stick: Man in Another World is a card-based adventure game built around character-specific mechanics and deckbuilding.
Stranded in an unfamiliar world, you must choose a hero and embark on a journey filled with battles, events, and difficult decisions. Acquire new cards and relics, refine your deck, and gradually shape a combat style of your own.
A powerful deck is not simply a collection of cards with the highest numbers.
The way your cards connect, how you manage your resources, and when you activate your core abilities can determine the outcome of every battle. Strengthen a reliable strategy, or rebuild your entire game plan around an unexpected card or relic discovered along the way.
Every choice changes the course of your run.
Choose Your Hero
Each hero features an independent card pool, unique resources, and a completely different combat system.
Choosing another hero does not simply change your starting deck. It introduces an entirely new combat system to learn and master.
Build a Deck of Your Own
Throughout each adventure, you will continuously discover new cards.
Strengthen an existing combination, or change direction according to the relics and event rewards you receive. Even an ordinary-looking card can become an essential component when placed in the right deck.
A smaller deck makes it easier to draw your most important cards consistently.
A larger deck gives you more tools for dealing with different enemies and unexpected situations.
There is no single solution that works in every battle. Instead of always choosing the reward with the highest numbers, you must identify what your current deck truly needs.
Create a Combat Engine
Every hero has a distinct gameplay loop.
Gather resources, apply special states, complete card combinations, and turn your preparation into an explosive payoff. Cards are not isolated effects. Together, they form a combat engine that can grow stronger and more efficient as the run continues.
An unfinished deck may feel fragile and inconsistent.
Once its key cards, relics, and character abilities come together, however, the entire strategy begins to move: resources return to your hand, effects trigger one after another, and enemies that once seemed dangerous become tests of how far your build has evolved.
Finding a working loop is only the beginning.
The true challenge is making it activate faster, run more consistently, and survive enemy disruption.
Encounter Unpredictable Events
Not every challenge in the otherworld is a battle.
During your journey, you will encounter a wide variety of events and choose between different outcomes. Events may grant cards, relics, healing, upgrades, or other special rewards, but they may also demand health, resources, or another price in return.
Your decisions instead depend on your current condition, the needs of your deck, and the risks waiting ahead. An immediate reward may weaken your long-term plan, while a temporary sacrifice may create an opportunity that transforms the entire run.
Collect and Combine Relics
Relics provide lasting effects throughout the current adventure.
Some directly enhance a hero's core mechanics. Others change the way resources are gained, cards are played, or battles unfold. Certain relics only reveal their true potential when paired with a specific deck or strategy.
The same relic may serve an entirely different purpose in the hands of another hero.
Choose cards based on the relics you already possess, or seek relics that support your most important cards. Every reward can become another piece of your evolving build.
Conquer Three Escalating Stages
Each run is divided into three stages of increasing difficulty.
As you travel deeper into the otherworld, enemies become more dangerous and their mechanics place greater pressure on your deck. The early stage is about establishing a foundation. The middle stage tests whether you can cover your weaknesses. The final stage pushes the consistency and power of your build to its limit.
No ideal combination can solve every battle on its own.
Some enemies restrict your resources. Others disrupt your rhythm or force you to finish the fight quickly. Reading enemy actions and adapting your card order is just as important as building a powerful deck.
Every Run Tells a Different Story
Heroes, cards, relics, and events combine to create a different progression path in every adventure.
One run may begin with a single key card and slowly develop into a reliable combo deck. Another may be completely redirected by an unexpected relic, leading you toward a strategy you have never tried before.
Failure does not mean leaving empty-handed.
With every attempt, you will better understand your hero, enemy behavior, and the relationships between your cards. That knowledge will help you make stronger decisions in the next adventure.
