ABOUT THE GAME:
Welcome to your own Nordic Lake! In the land of a thousand lakes, you are tasked with bringing one to life as a conservation effort. You choose the creatures you want to inhabit the lake, what vegetation it houses and what secrets it holds for those who peek underneath the surface. Whether your aim is to reach a self-sufficient balanced ecosystem or create your perch army, everything is in your hands.
BUILD YOUR LAKE GRADUALLY:
Start from a lake bottom, and slowly expand your lake to keep progression rewarding and easy to follow. Read codex to understand what impact a creature or a plant can have on your lake as you unlock them. Meet goals that happen naturally as you accumulate more fish, and earn money passively to purchase new creatures, or take wildlife pictures for small cash injections.

VARIETY OF CREATURES:
Inhabit your lake with creatures that you can meet in Nordic lakes in real life.
With over dozen unique creatures, all with their own unique behaviors, variations and stats, you can expand the lake from a single species to a fully fleshed ecosystem, housing multilevel feeding chains which balance each other out, ultimately achieving a self-sustaining lake.

DETAILED FISH BEHAVIOR:
Each fish is digitally drawn based on their real-life counterpart, and information has been gathered to understand how they would behave in a real lake. Fish will take cover in plants as juveniles, flock in differing numbers, prefer specific depths, breed, grow over extended periods of time, reach very large sizes, prefer specific creatures in their diet through their age and many more unique aspects.

MONITOR THE ECOSYSTEM:
View the state of your lake with a variety of statistics, including plant, nutrient and waste levels. Keep track of trends of fish populations through statistical views, and read information about what exactly has happened in the lake when it grows too big to monitor all the time.

CHOOSE YOUR PREDATORS:
Choose the ultimate predators. Do you let nature take its course and let apex fish and terrifying birds rule the lake, or lend a helping hand and allow a fisherman to thin the fish of your choosing, making extra money on the side to customize your lake further.

MAKE THE LAKE YOURS:
In addition to building the ecosystem, choose your preferred cosmetics to style the lake to look unique. Add rocks and other natural items, or show possible human-made objects that might make their way to the lake. The cosmetics also provide a slight cover from predators, allowing your more vulnerable fish to find a place to hide in addition to plants.

ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT:
The game was developed by a solo developer with the help of his brother for art, who spent a lot of their youth around the lakes of Finland, and wanted to create a digital medium to experience them.
