A Path Untrodden

Haunted by visions, a young prophet receives sacred knowledge of a path to the White City, a promised land of salvation. He spends years preparing for the journey, gathering those who share his faith and are willing to risk their lives to bring this last hope to a dying world. At last, the preparations are over. The time has come to take the untrodden path.
World
The land that was once ordinary is now consumed by a vast, ever-moving Mushroom Forest. It creeps forward without rest, devouring meadows and settlements and leaving only barren steppes behind. The few who survive have become wanderers, forever moving ahead of the forest that hungers for their lives.
Gameplay
But the road to salvation leads straight through the Mushroom Forest itself, into the depths where no sane person has ever ventured. Its inhabitants are no longer human - twisted creatures born from those who failed to escape its grasp. To survive, you will need to fight them, find enough food to keep moving, and protect your companions from the spores that spread through the forest.
Every step forward is a choice. Choose your path carefully. Your decisions may save a life or condemn it. Protect your mind from the whispers, your body from wounds, and your soul from oblivion.
Companions
Thankfully, you will not walk this path alone. Your companions each have their own skills, beliefs, and reasons for joining the journey. Some have followed you from the very beginning. Others joined because they had nowhere else to go. As you travel together, complete their personal quests, and endure the horrors of the forest, you may grow to like them. Or hate them.

Either way, you will have to decide how much you are willing to sacrifice to reach the White City.
