Simple Wars

Simple Wars is a real-time strategy game about moving frontlines, combined arms, and keeping your army supplied. Command individual units or coordinated groups, capture territory, and turn towns into the economic backbone of your offensive. A breakthrough is only useful if you can hold the ground behind it.
Fight for every stretch of the front
Use infantry to hold ground, motorized troops to exploit gaps, mountaineers to fight through difficult terrain, and armor to break a defense. Support your army with its irreplaceable general, protect supply routes, and recover wounded units in towns and hospitals. Forests, hills, mountains, forts, and rivers change how a battle unfolds.
Take the fight offshore with warships, marines, transports, and supply ships. Ferry troops onto an island, keep the beachhead supplied, or build a bridge to open a new land route. Cut off an enemy army and attrition can finish what your attack began.
The Ashen Front campaign
Lead the Federation Remnant across a campaign atlas against the Iron Concord. Choose your next region, recruit and reorder your army, research improvements, and carry survivors into the next battle. Casualties matter, while experienced troops become worth protecting.
Assaults play as full skirmish battles: build your economy, recruit reinforcements, and capture every enemy town without a time limit. When the enemy counterattacks, hold for ten minutes while retaining a friendly town. Choose a short war or a longer campaign, with difficulty settings explained before you begin.
Skirmishes, historical missions, and multiplayer
Skirmish: Fight AI commanders on generated battlefields, from mainland fronts to islands and archipelagos.
Missions: Play the linked mission progression or unlock additional historical scenarios and ordered mission packs, including Berlin, Normandy, and Market Garden. These are scaled RTS adaptations, with compressed geography, forces, and time.
Online multiplayer: Host or join matches and test your plans against other players.
Map editor: Create, save, load, and export your own battlefields and scenarios.
Choose how your war looks
Keep the classic readable counters, or unlock a different view of the battlefield. Atlas HD combines textured terrain, gray mountain relief, and its own aerial unit art. Chalkboard redraws the battlefield with chalk sketches on green slate; Whiteboard uses marker portraits, overhead vehicles, colored washes, and drawn commands. Each complete map pack covers terrain, units, structures, frontlines, and movement arrows across every era.
Additional unit collections include Ancient, Medieval, Napoleonic, modern-themed, and gold designs. Earn gold by playing matches and spend it on optional skins and mission unlocks. Optional gold purchases and a Supporter Pack are available in the in-game shop. Visual skins change appearance without increasing unit strength.
