Beyond the last lantern lies a forest the community has feared for generations. Strange creatures move between the trees, armed outlaws stalk the forgotten paths, and somewhere in the darkness, a hidden cult prepares to complete its ritual.
You must choose a leader, assemble an expedition, select the equipment they will carry, and enter the forest before it is too late.
Courage and Faith: Into the Dark Woods is a text-based party RPG that combines atmospheric storytelling, expedition management, and tactical turn-based combat. Every companion brings a distinct personality, unique strengths, and different ways of confronting danger.
Build Your Expedition
Speak with potential recruits and decide who deserves a place in your party. Hunters, scholars, soldiers, mystics, and other members of the community each offer different advantages.
Your choices determine who will stand beside you when the expedition reaches the darkest parts of the forest.
Prepare Before Entering the Woods
Choose your equipment carefully. Weapons, defensive tools, medical supplies, and specialized items can unlock different actions and determine whether the expedition survives its next encounter.
You cannot bring everything. Every preparation requires a sacrifice.
Fight as a Party
During combat, every living expedition member can perform one of several actions based on their abilities and equipment. Attack the enemy, protect a wounded companion, strengthen the group, or use a valuable item at the right moment.
But fear is as dangerous as any creature.
As tension rises, the number of actions available to the expedition decreases. A missed attack, a poor decision, or the wrong order of actions can turn a controlled battle into panic.

Dynamic narration describes the consequences of your decisions, victories, failures, wounds, and sacrifices.
