Command historical armies one formation at a time. Infantry can hold a front while bowmen wear down the enemy, but committing your reserves too soon may leave another line exposed. In Banners & Frontlines, every formation represents a body of troops-and every order shapes the battle.

Hold the line. Choose your moment.
Deploy into support positions, contest the frontlines and spend limited command points where they matter most. Press an advantage, bring up reinforcements or pull back a battered formation to reform. Breaking enemy formations wears down the army's Resolve; protecting your own can matter as much as dealing damage.

Build an army that fights together
Combine infantry, ranged troops, cavalry and artillery with Orders, battlefield equipment and commanders. Some troops can fight independently or join another formation as a supporting Wing. Choose a Battle Banner to shape your army's strengths, then use your commander's ability when the opportunity comes.

Command across the battlefields of history
Lead historical armies across different eras and regions, including the Hundred Years' War and Sengoku Japan. Each campaign brings its own commanders, forces and battlefield pressures. Contest crossings, fight through sieges and respond to reinforcements and changing objectives. Read the briefing, watch the unfolding events and adapt your plan to the war in front of you.

Make your own fortune in Free Company
Lead a mercenary company through a roguelite campaign of contracts, recruits and captured banners. Choose your Captain Art, assemble the troops you will take into battle and decide whether a new recruit is worth the wages. Resolve carries between battles, while pay, recovery and recruitment compete for your coin. Winning the next fight is only part of keeping the company on the road.
