Dark Age: Tokens of the Fallen is a single-player medieval fantasy dungeon-crawler RPG focused on exploration, combat, questing, character progression, and defeating powerful dungeon bosses.
You arrive at a village devastated by a bandit raid. Buildings have been destroyed, supplies have been stolen, and the surviving villagers are struggling to recover. After speaking with the Village Elder, you begin helping the community and investigating the forces responsible for the attack.
What first appears to be ordinary bandit activity soon reveals a greater threat. The region’s ruler has fallen under the influence of evil warlocks, and his strongest henchmen carry mysterious tokens connected to the road leading to his fortress.
EXPLORE A TROUBLED MEDIEVAL REGION
Travel beyond the village to explore forests, bandit camps, mines, and dangerous dungeons. Search these locations for enemies, useful resources, hidden loot, quest items, and clues that reveal more about the forces controlling the region.
The village acts as your central base. Return between expeditions to speak with its residents, complete quests, trade collected items, purchase supplies, and prepare for the challenges ahead.
BATTLE BANDITS AND DUNGEON BOSSES
Fight groups of bandits and other hostile enemies using real-time melee combat. Each location presents increasingly dangerous encounters as you work your way toward the powerful boss guarding its final area.
Defeating a dungeon boss rewards you with one of the Tokens of the Fallen. These tokens are central to the game’s progression and provide access to new information, new quests, and the next stage of your journey.
GROW STRONGER
Collect souls from defeated enemies and use them to improve your character’s skills. Earn gold and recover valuable equipment while exploring, then return to the village to purchase better weapons, armour, food, and other useful supplies.
You begin with basic clothing, a backpack, and a simple axe. Progress depends on preparing carefully, improving your abilities, finding stronger equipment, and learning how to overcome tougher enemies.
HELP REBUILD THE VILLAGE
Complete quests for the surviving villagers and help them recover from the raid. Investigate stolen goods, extinguish fires, repair damage, explore dangerous locations, and uncover information about the bandits and their leaders.
Villagers also provide services and information. Items recovered during your adventures can be sold in the village, with different residents offering better prices for the goods most useful to them.
HUNT, GATHER, AND TRADE
Explore the wilderness for additional resources. Hunt animals for meat and pelts, gather useful items, and sell what you collect to help fund your next expedition.
Choosing where to sell your discoveries can affect how much gold you receive, encouraging you to learn what each village resident needs.
COLLECT THE TOKENS OF THE FALLEN
Each defeated boss brings you closer to the fortress and the truth behind the corrupted King. Recover the tokens, unlock the path through the region’s dungeons, strengthen your character, and prepare for the final confrontation.
