Sails of Salt

The Empire stole your flagship. Your crew is in chains. Take them back.
Sails of Salt is a pirate sandbox with an ending. Every voyage opens a new sea: plunder, hunt, trade or run contracts. The more you raid, the sooner the Empire comes for you. What you bring home stays: your hidden bay grows and your next captain sails from the same quay.
Fight with wind, waves and broadsides.

Read the wind, ride the swell and line up the perfect broadside. Shred their sails, smash their hull or sweep their deck.
Capture ships. Command your fleet.

Why sink a ship you could steal? Board her, take her and add her to your fleet.
Every hand has a face. Every voyage leaves its mark.

Recruits become seasoned specialists. Wounds leave scars, choices move morale, and every face tells your story.
Outfit every ship for its role.

Find blueprints, refit your hull and make every ship your own, down to her name and colours.
No two voyages sail the same sea.
A new world rises from the waves: islands, harbours, wrecks, imperial forts and stranger places still. Where you go and what you do there is up to you.
Bring your loot home.
Free the Salt-Sworn, the crew who once sailed your flagship. Only in the Caldera, a hidden haven inside a smouldering volcano, are they and your gold truly safe. Rebuild it between voyages and watch it grow with every homecoming.
