Pawper: Desktop Pet

He's yours from the day he's born. The whole screen is his home: he picks where to nap, chases the ball between your icons and comes asking for a scratch in the middle of your workday.

Pet him and he stretches, lets out a little heart and squeaks like a rubber toy.

Pawper is a pixel art dog who lives in the same place where you work and play. He never gets in the way, he only reacts when you click on him.

Every real day is a month in your dog's life. He arrives as a puppy and takes 24 real days to become an adult, going through puppy, teenager and adult, each stage unlocking new items and interactions.

Once he's grown, he keeps aging forever and celebrates every birthday. Time spent with the game closed counts too: he grows while you live your life.

Hunger, thirst, hygiene, energy and happiness run in real time, and his mood changes with the care he gets. But the rules are clear:

Food, water and baths are always free.

Your dog never goes hungry for lack of coins.

Your dog never dies.

The economy exists for progression and fun, never for guilt.

Pick him up: click and drag to lift him. He floats, spins with the scroll wheel and squashes on landing.

Throw the tennis ball: it bounces off the edges of your monitor and he runs after it to kick it.

Toss the frisbee: he fetches it and drops it right at your cursor.

Give him the bone: he runs to a corner, digs and buries it, until you click to dig it back up.

Drop the bowl on screen: leave the food on the floor and he'll notice and walk over to it on his own.

Choose your Pawper at birth: black, white, golden, akita, german shepherd, border collie, bernese, husky and more, with markings drawn body part by body part.

Dress your dog: tie, bow, glasses, cap and hat, each with its own colors and alternate styles, like the cap turned backwards or the bow at the tip of his tail.

Decorate your desktop: dog bed, pee pad, fire hydrant, fences, potted plants, play tunnel and a campfire that really lights up, with flames, warm light and crackling.

Place it however you like: drag it, spin it with the scroll wheel, and the position stays saved.

Upgrade through three tiers: the bowl becomes an automatic feeder, the pad and the hydrant clean themselves and collect the coins for you, the bed speeds up his rest and the fence finally holds the little escape artist.

Challenge your own dog without opening anything! Play minigames with your Pawper to raise his happiness and yours too. Always with good rewards so you can make your Pawper more and more your own.

The older the dog, the harder it gets.

A while after eating, he leaves a poop on your screen, and the day still brings the odd puddle of pee. Every mess slowly drains his hygiene: clean it with one click before his mood drops, and earn coins for it.

And the mess respects your time: it stays there waiting for you to come back.
