B A RD O S P A CE S H I P is a techno rhythm bullet hell about dying, reincarnating, and fighting your way through the machinery behind reality.
You pilot a ship through hostile worlds where the music is the level. Enemies attack in rhythm. Patterns build with the track. Read the beat, dodge, shoot, parry, and try not to get vaporized.
Between levels, the game is a visual novel.
You’ll meet strange people, gods, machines, demons, and things that don’t fit neatly into any of those categories.
The story takes you from the industrial depths of the Machine Abyss, through a war spanning dimensions, into increasingly strange layers of reality as you try to figure out what happened to you, where the fuck you are, and whether escaping the cycle is even possible.
The soundtrack is 18 original techno records written specifically for the game. Not background music. Not a playlist slapped over gameplay. The entire game is built around it.
Think DDR meets Space Invaders, except you died and woke up inside a techno club run by the demiurge.
