Deepvein is a single-player, combat-free extraction mining game about descending into a persistent mine, gathering valuable materials, and returning safely with enough resources to expand your operation.
Every expedition is a balance between ambition and preparation. Valuable ores wait deeper underground, but harder rock consumes more of your pickaxe's limited durability. Your backpack space, equipment, chosen route, and remaining tools determine whether you continue exploring or return to secure your haul.
DESCEND, EXTRACT, RETURN
Carve your own paths through a broad underground world. Search for copper, iron, crystals, gold, platinum, and the mysterious Deepvein ore. The tunnels you excavate remain part of your world, so each expedition expands your personal network of routes and discoveries.
PLAN EACH EXPEDITION
Choose what equipment to carry before each descent. A spare pickaxe, specialized mining heads, field repair kits, and exploration equipment provide different advantages, but every item competes for limited backpack space.
BUILD SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT
Return to the surface to smelt ore, craft tools, manage your loadout, and improve your mining operation. Recipes combine processed metals, raw materials, and unusual components recovered from rare discoveries. Equipment offers clear strengths, costs, and specializations rather than random bonuses.
MAP THE UNKNOWN
Your map records explored sectors and excavated tunnels without revealing everything hidden in the rock. Place your own markers, use survey technology to identify an approximate search area, and install a field device to narrow down a recorded lead without revealing the exact target.
COMPLETE CONTRACTS AND PROGRESS
Contracts provide structured objectives and currency rewards while still allowing you to explore beyond their immediate requirements. Improve your pickaxe, backpack, workshop, and laboratory through multiple stages to reach deeper materials and unlock new expedition options.
DISCOVER WHAT THE MINE LEFT BEHIND
Rare geological formations, buried machinery, and fossilized remains create decisions beyond ordinary ore extraction. Recover them quickly for an immediate benefit or extract them carefully to obtain components for specialized equipment.
NO COMBAT - THE MINE IS THE CHALLENGE
There are no monsters to fight. The pressure comes from limited durability, incomplete knowledge, valuable cargo, difficult terrain, and the decision of how far you are willing to descend before returning to the surface.
