The tea never stops
You have inherited a kiraathane - a traditional Turkish tea house. Old men playing okey in the corner, a football match on the TV, a samovar that has to stay full, and a street full of shopkeepers who will call you the moment their glass runs dry.
Brew it, carry it, collect the empties, wash them, do it again. Then do it with three friends and watch it fall apart beautifully.
Four of you. One tea house.
Full online co-op for 1-4 players. One brews, one runs deliveries, one works the toast machine, one is probably standing in the doorway doing nothing. Every glass is finite - if nobody washes up, nobody gets served.
Cay, properly
Two ways to make it. Teabags are fast and cheap and everybody can tell. Real brewing means the samovar, the pot, the right steeping time - and a decision about where your leaves came from. Smuggled tea is cheaper. Smuggled tea also gets your shop raided, and when the police walk in you have seconds to decide whether to dump it.
Serve it in ince belli glasses, with sugar on the table, not in the glass. Add oralet, rosehip, fruit tea, instant coffee and cold drinks from the fridge as you unlock them.
The toast machine
Twenty separate ingredients, eleven recipes, six kitchen tiers. Cut the bread, load it in any order you like, and get it out before it burns - because it will burn, and the customer asked for a specific one.
Trouble at table nine
Put an okey set down and the clock starts. Tension becomes an argument, the argument becomes shoving, and shoving becomes a proper fight with chairs. There is an okey tile rack behind the counter, and it is heavier than it looks. Use it, or let it run and lose the room.
Match night
There is a league out there - sixteen teams, fifteen rounds, a table that keeps moving whether you are watching or not. On a match day the game goes up on the TV, the shop stays open until one in the morning, and people come in just to stand in front of the screen. They do not take a seat and they still want tea. It is the busiest the room ever gets.
You are the bookmaker
Customers write coupons at your counter from three in the afternoon until kick-off - home, draw, away, over, under. The stake goes straight into your till, which feels wonderful right up to the final whistle. Then the winners walk back to that same till and you pay them by hand. The odds carry a house margin, so the shop wins over a season - but one favourite landing can cost you more than the day's takings. You can back a game yourself with the bookmaker up the road, and that is entirely your own problem.
The street outside
Twenty shopkeepers - the pharmacy, the estate agent, the auto electrician down in the industrial estate. The megaphone calls, the intercom blinks, and their tea is going cold while you are still washing glasses. Tips scale with how fast you get there. Some of them will want to pay later, and you will have to decide whether to let them.
Faces you start to know
Serve someone well enough and they come back with a name. The book remembers what they drink, how often they come and how well you have treated them, and they climb from a new face to a regular to family - more patient, better tippers, far less likely to walk out without paying. Nine personalities, from the retired man who will sit all afternoon to the connoisseur who can tell a teabag at a glance and will not forgive it.
Somebody has to clean this
Dirty glasses pile up in the sink. Litter builds on the floor and there is a broom and a dustpan behind the counter. And there is a toilet, which gets worse every single day you ignore it, until your customers turn around in the doorway and leave.
Everybody wants a cut
Bills, VAT, late fees, a tax inspector who can be paid off, and the police, who cannot. Miss enough of it and the bailiffs turn up.
Your shop, your call
Buy tables five at a time, open the garden, extend the okey corner, upgrade the samovar, repaint the place and name it whatever you like. Seven shop levels, five weather states, daily jobs, random events, achievements - and an apprentice called Onur who pulls his weight whether you are running the place alone or with three friends.
