Space in the 80s

Space in the 80s sends you on an endless flight through a retro-futuristic universe. Forward movement is automatic: you control the steering, watch for hazards, and find a path through each environment while a synthwave soundtrack accompanies the journey.
HOW A RUN WORKS
Pick an environment and a sky, then take flight with mouse or keyboard controls. Each environment offers a different route to explore:
- Space Run: travel through a tunnel, emerge into open space, and circle the exterior of a huge hull before the course loops back around. The outer hull lets you move through a full 360 degrees.
- Midnight City: weave through traffic as building lights change color and pulse with the music.
- Planet Unknown: explore a landscape of terrain, clouds, lightning, and other craft.
SURVIVE THE COURSE
Keep watching the route ahead and steer clear of obstacles. In Space Run, your ship starts with three hull points. Collisions damage your hull, and losing all three points ends the flight.
Midnight City and Planet Unknown give you one life per run. A collision with an obstacle ends that attempt. After a run, try again and see how much farther you can travel.
DISTANCE IS YOUR SCORE
Your score is based only on the distance you travel in all three environments. Stay intact, fly farther, and improve your result with each new run.
Your personal bests are saved locally for each environment and sky, giving you a result to aim for when you return.
MUSIC-REACTIVE NEON
A synthwave soundtrack brings the scenery to life. Space Run's terrain moves and changes color with the music. In Midnight City, building lights shift through neon colors and pulse with the beat. Planet Unknown's neon surfaces also change color and brightness in response to the soundtrack.
CHOOSE YOUR VIEW
Select one of six cosmic skies: a black hole, a magnetar, a neutron star, or one of three nebulae. Combine your chosen sky with any of the three flight environments.
