About This Game
An old pawnshop that has stood closed for years. Now, its doors are opening once again.
All your father left behind was a dust covered counter and a half-burned ledger. The customers who come knocking each bring an item to place before you some exaggerate its value, some hide where it came from, and some do not even know what they are carrying.
But your eyes are not ordinary. You can see what dwells within an object.
Whether it is a blessing or a curse.
Appraise the Goods
Use your appraisal tools to uncover clues one by one and determine four key attributes: Grade, Authenticity, Quality, and Curse.
But your appraisal during the day is only an estimate, never a certainty. The truth is revealed only at night, when the item is examined by the Royal Appraisers. Make the wrong judgment, and you will bear the cost.
Read Your Customers
Not everyone tells the truth. There are the honest, the mistaken, the boastful, and those who set out to deceive you from the very beginning.
Sharpen your merchant's instinct not to discover what a customer is hiding, but to sense whether they are hiding something at all.
Negotiate the Price
Buying low and selling high is not all there is to the trade. Test each customer's patience and pride, and use the evidence you have painstakingly uncovered to make your offer.
Even a customer who has given up on the deal and is ready to walk away may still be persuaded to stay.
Run Your Pawnshop
Store the items you acquire, put them on display to attract customers, and send valuable goods to auction.
Manage your funds and grow your pawnshop into something greater.
Your choices become rumors, and those rumors may appear in tomorrow's news bulletin.
Follow Your Father's Ledger
Some items bear the marks of a curse. Your father left behind an appraisal lens, blank pages in his half-burned ledger, and traces scattered throughout the world. You must gather the items that once belonged to him.
With every item you appraise, you draw closer to the secrets hidden within this city.
