Magic Link

Magic Link is a roguelike magic bullet-hell game.
There are 10 different styles of magic in the game, and each run randomly selects 3 of them for you to build your tactics around.
Three Forms of Magic
Persistent Type: Stays on the battlefield continuously, does not attack actively, and creates a suppressing damage zone.
Periodic Type: Appears at random positions at set intervals, remains briefly, then disappears, like a predictable trap.
Homing Type: Automatically tracks the nearest enemy, disappears after hitting, striking once and vanishing.
Dual Upgrade Paths
Upgrade Cards → Increase stats (damage, range, duration, etc.).
Link Cards → Change mechanics (increase the range of Persistent magic, make Periodic magic appear more frequently, make Homing magic bounce, etc.). The 10 Links correspond to the 10 types of magic. Which upgrades you draw in each run depends entirely on luck and your choices.
Meta-Progression System
After each run, the resources you bring back can permanently increase your character’s level, up to level 5. This is gradual meta-progression that lets you grow stronger through repeated challenges.
