TCG: Collector’s Mess

TCG: Collector’s Mess is a first-person collecting sandbox set in a house buried in trading cards. Tear open packs, search the rooms for overlooked finds, and turn the chaos into binders, storage boxes, and displays that feel like yours.

There are 1,000 card designs across ten sets to discover, with different rarities, conditions, and foil finishes. Chase a missing collector number, find a cleaner copy of an old favorite, or spend an afternoon making room on your desk for just one more pile.Open packs one card at a time
The collecting starts before you see your first pull. Order a booster from the laptop, find the delivery box somewhere in the house, and take the sealed pack back to your desk.

Tear the wrapper, slide out the stack, and reveal each of the five cards yourself. Turn a new find over, inspect its artwork, and tilt a foil in the light. Set cards aside as you go, or take a favorite straight to its new home. You can put an unfinished pack down and come back to the remaining reveals later.

Search a house full of forgotten finds
Loose cards are scattered through furnished rooms and down into the basement. Open drawers and cupboards, move books and other loose objects, and look for the collections someone has tucked away.

Follow notes between hidden stashes or order a secondhand lot for a bigger box of surprises. The next useful find might finish a binder page, replace a worn copy, or become the start of another collection.Make piles. Make a system. Make a mess.
Cards are physical objects you can pick up, rotate, place, stack, and throw. Gather a handful from the floor, split a pile, combine stacks, or spread cards out while you decide what belongs where.

Bring them to a sorting mat and separate your copies into KEEP, TRADE, and SELL. Browse by set or rarity, tuck spare cards into longboxes, and pull them back out when you need them. When sorting can wait, try landing a card in a toss basket and beating your longest throw.Turn empty pockets into finished pages
There is a particular satisfaction in finding the card that belongs in the last empty pocket. Fill nine-pocket binder pages, check which collector numbers are missing, and use the laptop to find singles that help complete your collection.

Already own a card somewhere in the house? Your collection tools help you locate it. Found a better copy? Swap it into the binder and decide what to do with the one it replaces. A filled page gives you something concrete to work toward, one card at a time.
