You're the screws. They're the riot.
Clock on, grab your OC Spray and try to make it through a ten-minute shift in the worst-run prison around. Inmates, crooked guards and a few things that really shouldn't be on the roster pour in from every side. You keep moving; your gear does the rest.
Level up, stack ridiculous prison-issue weapons, evolve them into something the union would never sign off on, and outlast a boss every three minutes. Then the shift ends, an exit opens, and the real question starts: clock off, or stay for the Double Shift?

Features
11 survivors: Harold and Deano clock on from day one. The other nine are earned through achievements, and most come with a ridiculous signature move.

20 weapons, 20 evolutions: OC Spray, Glen40, a Weighted Mop, a Beanbag Shotgun, a Spoon... and what they become when you push them, like Backdraft, The Ladle and Hospital Grade Glen40.

20 passives, plus re-rolls, banishes and lucky evolutions to bend each run your way.

24 bosses: a new one every three minutes and a shiny Mega boss to close out the shift. Say hello to the Warrior Mech, Tony Parmesan, The Bailiff and Ghulk.

7 stages: the Car Park, Security Checkpoint, Visitor Center, Exercise Yard, Infirmary, Isolation and Maximum Security, with 51 enemy types between them.

Shift events: riots, contraband drops, escapees and more keep every run off-script.

The Double Shift: beat the final boss and an exit opens. Leave with your pay, or stay and earn overtime while things get much, much worse. At twelve minutes the Warden comes down to deal with you personally.

The Shift Report: every run ends with the full breakdown. Damage by weapon, kills by enemy, every pick you made, a shower of cash and a verdict on your performance.

Equipment Room: spend your pay on permanent upgrades between shifts.

50 Steam achievements (3 of them secret), Steam Cloud saves and full controller support.

Meet the crew
Harold, The WOK. Tall, bearded, unbothered. Try to push him around and he just says "nope..."

Deano, The Spoon. Starts the shift with a spoon. Makes it work.

Trev, Old Hand. Knock him down once and he gets back up with a "WOOOOOO!" that clears the room.

Jo, Clean Sweep. "I'm not licked yet... but you are!" You'll see.

Anna, By the Book. The lower her health, the bigger her hands. Eventually they drag on the floor.

Rams, Iron Roster. Foot pursuit cancelled. He's back, and he's on an e-scooter.

Binney, Full Kit. Cool, calm and collected... mostly.

...and Tris, Mogs, Steve-O and the Sarge.

Who made this?
We're Harold and Deano: two 40-something dads with full-time jobs, kids and zero coding or art skills, who always wanted to make a game. Yes, those are our faces on the capsule, and yes, you can play as us.
We built Prison Survivors with a lot of help from AI (Steam's AI disclosure below says exactly how), our own ideas and jokes, and more than 100,000 prompts of "no, make it funnier". It's our first game and we're going to keep updating it.
