DUBHouse

Dub House is a voice booth and also a party game each person plays on their own machine using their own microphone, no matter where in the world they are, and the sounds made in the room are turned into a video which you can retain.

Here are the four gamemodes of dubhouse

Everyone Dubs

Choose a scene and then have each person take the character they desire. You should each write down your lines in your individual booth, using the original recording playing softly in the background to help you with the timing. The host then mixes the audio, equalising all the voices so that no one is twice as loud as anyone else, and plays the completed dub back to the room.

Telephone

One player reads a line aloud. The following person hears only that recording—having received it over a poor phone line once and has to repeat it. This process is then repeated with the next person. After the first round, no one sees the words again.

You can't choose the way in which you speak; each round gives you a directive such as angrier, as a pirate, or like your mouth is full, and they build upon what the previous player had done.

Until you are given instructions, you type in what you think the previous person had been doing; after that the host then plays the entire chain back, voice by voice, and the room then realizes how far it has drifted.

Rap Booth

There is a beat, a rhythmic pattern, and a word at the end of each bar; fill the bar in any way you want, provided that you end with that word. Since the words are given in rhyming pairs, the result is a verse not a list.

Sing it by yourself or set the entire room to the same rhythm and take two lines in turn.

Clip Maker

If you aim the tool at a video that you possess, it will detect the dialogue, separate the speech from the music and effects, and create a pack that you can use to dub over. You can then share this pack with the rest of the room so that everyone will play the same scene.

You bring the clips

Dub House comes with no video material; it's a tool whereby you aim it at the footage which you already have the right to use and it then produces something that you can perform over. The footage that you import and the way you use the output are your own.

What you need

A microphone. Any microphone, Each player is entitled to only one machine it's not a couch game. For the participants, the host provides an address and all the others enter it; Windows, macOS and Linux users can all take part in the same room.
