Deal with the Deep is a single-player roguelike deckbuilder. Choose a character and descend into the abyss, progressing through battles, events, shops, and rest sites. Collect new cards and relics, refine your deck, and confront the final boss of each stage.
Turn-Based Card Combat with Range Mechanics
Positioning shapes every decision. Move your character, adjust your facing, and consider attack range. The same card may produce different effects depending on whether its target is within range or too far away. Observe enemy positions and intentions, then use movement to deal more damage or avoid incoming attacks.
Build Your Deck Along the Journey
Choose new cards after battles, acquire relics that can transform your playstyle, and refine your deck through upgrades, card removal, and other events. Each character has a unique starting deck, card pool, and combat mechanics, offering different approaches to deckbuilding.
Manipulate Your Route Chips
Your journey is represented by route chips on a tabletop. Battles, shops, rest sites, treasure chests, and unknown events may all lie ahead. Use tabletop facilities to reveal chip types in advance, reroll unwanted types, refresh shops, or even skip battles.
Different Choices with Every Descent
Routes, enemies, events, rewards, and relics combine to create a different journey each time. Experiment with new card combinations, refine your deck as you descend deeper, and prepare your own strategy for each stage boss.
About the Current Version
Deal with the Deep is independently developed by a solo developer and provided free of charge. It contains a completable single-player campaign, but its balance and Workbench features have not yet undergone extensive testing. The game does not include music or sound effects.
