Tide & Crown is a single-player open-world pirate trading RPG where every voyage is a choice between profit, danger, and power.
Begin with a modest ship and a small purse. Study regional markets, carry goods between distant ports, take dangerous contracts, hunt valuable prizes, and build a fleet capable of changing the balance of power across the seas.
Trade in a Living Economy
Ports produce different goods and depend on merchant traffic to supply what they lack. Shortages raise prices, incoming shipments reshape local markets, and intercepted trade vessels can create opportunities for enormous profits.
Buy where goods are plentiful, sell where they are scarce, or create shortages through piracy and disruption.
Fight Tactical Naval Battles
Naval combat is turn-based and menu-driven. Choose the right ammunition for the target:
Round shot breaks heavily armored hulls.

Chain shot tears through fast, sail-dependent ships.

Grape shot devastates crew-heavy boarding vessels.

Brace against incoming fire, repair damaged systems, switch ships during fleet battles, attempt boarding actions, or flee before your losses become permanent.
Capture Ships and Build a Fleet[
Defeated lone vessels can be captured, stripped of cargo, or resolved through other prize choices. Expand from a starter sloop into a fleet of specialized ships, assign different roles, and recover disabled vessels after costly defeats.
Choose Your Career
Become a respected merchant captain, a feared pirate, or a political power with influence over ports and factions. Accept jobs, smuggle contraband, pursue captain objectives, negotiate with governors, and develop rivalries with recurring adversaries.
Your actions shape faction relationships, regional markets, available opportunities, and the legacy your captain leaves behind.
Survive the Open Sea
Navigate changing winds, manage crew and supplies, and travel through a day-and-night cycle. Dangerous waters conceal hostile captains, naval patrols, whirlpools, legendary ships, and creatures that are better discovered at sea than revealed on a map.

Tide & Crown was created from a love of classic trading games and pirate adventures such as Tradewinds and Sid Meier’s Pirates! It is designed to capture that same freedom—then expand it with a deeper economy, tactical fleet combat, evolving rivals, and meaningful career choices.
