Ammerow: Lands Beyond

Ammerow: Lands Beyond is derived from the open-source roguelike Angband and is also available free of charge through its official GitHub project. The Steam edition contains the same game and is offered for players who prefer Steam or wish to support its continued development.
Ammerow is completely free to play. If you would like to support its development, the optional Exploration Collection DLC (an illustrated score and lore book and more) or an original soundtrack is available to purchase. Neither adds gameplay content or advantages.
The world is deeper than it remembers.
Ammerow: Lands Beyond is a traditional turn-based roguelike about dangerous journeys above and below the earth. Create an adventurer, cross a hostile overworld and descend through the hundred known depths of the Meridian to confront the Upwelling. Every action advances the world, every fight demands a decision, and death is permanent.
The descent does not only lead downward. Explore connected procedural caves from a side-on perspective. Free-climb rock, hammer pitons, deploy rope, peer into deep shafts, manage stamina and air, and fish the dark pools below. What you bring home can feed the village—and what you discover underground may reveal another road into the Meridian.
Choose crisp, coloured ASCII or an optional tile map. Monsters, equipment and shopkeepers are brought to life through detailed ASCII illustrations and a carefully authored soundscape.
