Around Journeybound Idle's launch in early August 2026, one of our wonderful community members asked me if I would consider adding a DLC pack of anime-themed portraits. Given that the theme of the game is isekai related and about starting out in a new world, I agreed that it was a great idea. I promised I would release a complete alternative art set this year. This release is a follow up on that promise!
The Anime-Inspired Portrait Pack
This is a complete set of 98 portraits, replacing every Character, NPC, Boss, and Entity in game that has their own portrait for questing, dialogue, or combat.
The set is fully opt-in. You can go to the Settings panel after loading your character anytime, to enable or disable the Portrait Pack.
How to turn it on
Click Download on this page to add the pack to your account.
Start Journeybound Idle, or click back into it if it is already open. Portraits switch to the Anime Pack if you add the DLC with the game currently running. Voila! You're all set.
To go back to the original game portraits, open Settings, find Portrait Style, and pick Original.
