Zanore: Echoes of the Shards

Zanore: Echoes of the Shards is a hand-painted 2D action-adventure Metroidvania set in a mysterious world shaped by the remnants of a forgotten past.
Take control of Vael, a lone wanderer drawn into a journey through ancient ruins, overgrown caverns, forgotten sanctuaries, and hostile lands. Explore an interconnected world, confront strange creatures and powerful guardians, and uncover the secrets buried beneath its surface.
EXPLORE A HAND-PAINTED WORLD
Journey through atmospheric, interconnected environments brought to life with a distinctive hand-painted visual style. Hidden paths, forgotten chambers, ancient mechanisms, and dangerous encounters await those willing to venture beyond the obvious route.
MASTER FAST-PACED COMBAT
Face a variety of hostile creatures using responsive movement and sword-based combat. Dodge, dash, strike, and learn the attack patterns of your enemies as encounters become increasingly demanding.
Powerful guardians stand between Vael and the truth. Each major encounter will test your movement, timing, and understanding of your opponent.
FIND THE SHARDS
Scattered throughout the world are eleven mysterious Shards.
Discover them, uncover their purpose, and piece together the events that shaped Zanore. Each recovered fragment brings Vael closer to understanding the world around him—and the reason for his journey.
UNCOVER WHAT WAS LEFT BEHIND
Ancient tablets and remnants scattered across the world reveal fragments of its forgotten history. Exploration is not only a path forward, but a way to understand what happened long before Vael arrived.
Some answers are hidden deeper than others.
