Ominous Descent

The trench gets more dangerous the longer you survive. Hold out as the creatures you face grow in number and variety, survive boss encounters and push through six environmental zones.

Your submarine's headlight, dash and ability share one energy meter. Energy recharges slowly, gather more energy from defeated enemies. Spend it carefully lest you get caught in the dark.

Solo or 2 player local co-op: Dive alone or with a friend (at least one controller required).

Five submarines to choose from: Each with its own weapon, headlight and ability. Start with one and unlock the rest by playing, since every run's score counts toward the unlock.

Powerups: Stack 7 temporary boosts which can provide you with a vital lifeline.

Items: Discover 3 items each with 3 tiers of upgrades that will last the whole dive and change the way you play. Choose carefully as you can only hold one.

Bioluminescence: The trench is pitch black; glowing creatures, weapon fire and your headlight will illuminate the world around you.

Environmental hazards: From thermal vents to sudden currents it's not just the fauna that are dangerous. 

Depth zones: Each zone will change the enemies spawned and effects of hazards.

Logs: Track the creatures you've discovered and slain along with the powerups, items and hazards you find.
