The dead walk the only road home. Every one of them carries a word.
SHIFT KNIGHT is a horror typing game and a supernatural mystery. Every night Sigmund and his driver take an old truck through Brackmoor Fen, the Rust Barrens, Ashfield Waste and Mourn Terminus, past the graves along the verge, and the dead rise to meet them. Type the word over a corpse's head and the knights fire. Miss, and they won't make it back.
The dead keep coming, and every word you miss lets one closer to the truck.
Nobody will say where the dead came from. The Order keeps sending instructions. At the end of the road waits the Gravedigger.
When you need your screen back, switch on endless mode. The fight shrinks to a strip along the bottom of your desktop and the watch goes on while you work. Come back to a longer road and a conversation you missed.
Your clicks stay yours. On the desktop the game counts that you clicked and nothing else. Nothing about your clicks leaves your machine, and the keyboard is only read while the game window has focus.
