A samurai souls-like where you fight fire with water
You are Ren, a hired swordsman. Tsukuyomi, the moon god, has taken your sister and the boatbuilders of Kyoto to build his court at sea. Go and bring them home.

Fight with the river
Sōjin, the twinblade your sister forged, carries the last water of the Kappa of Fushimi: draw enemies into a whirlpool, send a wave down a crowded street, lift a man on a geyser.
Take a katana from a captain in Kyoto and cut as it returns to the sheath.
Read every wind-up. Guards gather, rise and hang before they strike; step through and answer.
Earn your techniques by fighting: each weapon has its own mastery and skill tree.

Yokai from real legends
Every boss comes from Japanese folklore and has reasons of its own. In Kyoto's streets, face Wanyūdō: a burning ox-cart wheel with a man's face, said to take the soul of anyone who looks at him. Read his attacks, find the opening, and douse his flames.

The Kappa's gift
Years ago Nao refilled the dish of a stranded old kappa. When Tsukuyomi's men came for the boatyards, he stood between them and the builders. Dying, he gave his water to the blade on her bench, the one she made for you.
The god who turned away
Kyoto's rulers called on Tsukuyomi to judge a famine. He saw corruption in the rulers and filth in the hungry crowd. Now he is building a court at sea, where humanity's wealth can reach him and humanity stays out of sight. Its builders will never be allowed home.
