Prohibition has outlawed the booze. You’re going to make it.
Prohibition Mafia is a base-building and crew-management sim set in 1920s America. Build a bootlegging business where your crew carries ingredients to brewing tubs, bottles the beer and gets finished crates ready for buyers. You lay out the workplace, hire the people and decide what needs doing first.
Build a place that works
Lay out rooms, choose walls, floors and doors, and make space for brewing, bottling and storage. Position equipment and supplies so your workers can get to what they need.
A cramped bottling room or a long walk for ingredients can hold up the operation. Experiment with the layout as the business grows, and turn a makeshift setup into premises you’ve made your own.
Put your crew to work
Choose recruits with different hiring costs, wages and movement speeds. Give someone a particular job, dedicate them to one kind of work or let them help across the operation according to your priorities.
Keep an eye on what each person is doing and adjust their assignments as the workload changes. Keep enough money aside for payday, too: leave wages unpaid for too long and people will walk.
Keep the booze moving
Follow supplies through brewing and bottling to finished stock ready for collection. Every barrel and crate needs someone to carry it, and each stage depends on the last.
When work backs up, follow the goods to find the problem. An empty cupboard, a busy bottling table or too few hands carrying supplies can each leave the next job waiting.
Make the business pay
Order supplies, cover wages and fulfil buyers’ orders from your finished stock. Decide when another recruit or a larger workspace will help, and when your existing operation simply needs a better arrangement.
