As the Lady Chooses

When the family fortune is at stake, will you follow your heart, your duty, or your writing ambitions during your debut London Season?
As the Lady Chooses is an interactive Regency romance novel by Lady Suzanna, where your choices control the story. It's 259,000 words, entirely text-based, without graphics or sound effects, and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
As an aspiring novelist, you’ve spent more time with revisions on your latest manuscript than in the parade of eligible gentlemen your Mama can’t stop talking about - until a failed business venture of your Papa’s puts your family in financial straits. Suddenly, you’re thrust into your first Season, where your parents hope you will make an eligible match and save the family from ruin.
You would certainly find a wealthy husband in Duke Reginald Heyworth. His ancestral estate in Kent is lavish; his shoulders are broad and strong; his manner is courteous and attentive; his literary education a match for your own. He is more than a decade older than you, though, with threads of silver in his dark hair; and his kind dark eyes show the grief of having endured the loss of his first wife. Perhaps you feel a kinship with that melancholy, or wish to bring his laughter back?

Or perhaps your heart yearns for more excitement? As the younger son of an earl, the dashing Sir Anthony Scott has little wealth of his own, but what he does have he prefers to spend on travel, fashionable clothes, books, and indulgent parties while he seeks the next bolt of inspiration for his poetry.  In him, you might find a kindred literary spirit - and in his twinkling eyes and shining auburn hair, you will find a handsome companion indeed.
But what if your heart does not yearn for men at all? Your fellow debutante Lady Violet Castlereagh is the admiration of all the ton: wealthy, accomplished, from a family so influential that her mother is a patroness of Almack’s - and utterly beautiful, with a halo of golden curls and an angelic singing voice. She could be a fierce rival for the most eligible suitors, but her mother’s good opinion could open many doors for you. But beneath Lady Violet’s exterior perfection lies an active mind, and a collection of dreams and desires to equal yours. Could you be friends - or something more?
One lady who definitely wishes to escape is heiress Lady Agnes Dupont. She has a mischievous grin, a quick wit, and a love of bright colors - both in her fashionable gowns and her art. Even more shocking than the daring subjects of her paintings, though, is her openness about the fact that she does not wish to wed at all - but would dearly love a companion to share her life and fortune.
But if it is a fortune that you seek, you might just be able to make your own - if you can get enough time to finish your novel!
