Five ancient crowns. One empty throne.
Somewhere in every ruined world the old crowns still lie in their crypts — the Ember, the Tide, the Sheaf, the Stone and the Star — each with a power for the realm that holds it. Carry them home, keep them from rivals who can see your Crown-bearer coming, and seat that captain on the Crownless Throne for seven days to win. Or ignore the crowns and win the old way: the Ancient Crowns victory is yours to switch on or off for every random world.A world that curves away beneath you
Pull the camera back and the horizon bends away beneath you; turn it, tilt it, dive down to the road and the fire. Send a hero across a fogged, living map: seasons turn, rain and snow move in, night falls over the towns. Open chests, capture mines, walk into ruins, shrines and landmarks — 90 kinds of place to find — and take the guarded stairs down into the Deepways, a second, darker level of the map beneath the first.Lead. Build. Fight.
Recruit at home, upgrade your stacks, and bring an army to a battle you fight yourself: a tactical grid, spells, war machines, morale and luck, retaliation, retreat or surrender for gold. Or let the auto-battle settle it.Battles at sea
Meet an enemy afloat and the battle is fought ship against ship. Give your crew orders — a broadside, a grapple, a ram — lay the boarding planks and send your melee across, and watch a hull with no planks left go under with everyone on board who cannot fly. Rival empires take to the water too.Walls worth breaking — and walls worth holding
Towns are fortified: palisade, rampart and citadel walls, with towers, gatehouses, moats, stakes, a keep and each people's own defences built plot by plot. Bring a ram and a catapult, breach the gate and take the town. And when an enemy comes for one of yours, you command the defenders yourself — with a captain at the gates, a high keep feeds him extra mana.Three peoples, three ways to keep a line
The Watchfires hold the highland forts and river towns of Valemarch and keep the old signal fires burning against what walks the deep passes.
The Lanterns are the reed-raft towns and salt-lantern harbours of Tidereach — a loose league that gives ground on purpose and lets the silt close behind it.
The Knells are the sunken funeral towns of Hollowmere. After a battle they win, some of their fallen get back up — but their dwellings refill more slowly, so for them a quiet week is a loss.
Each people has its own town, buildings, creatures, champion and heroes.Build your captain. Raise your banner.
Make the hero you will follow: face and build, hair and beard, hood, hat or helm, an outfit cut for your people, the colours of skin, hair, eyes and cloth, starting skills and an heirloom. Then design your banner — field pattern, colours and one of thirty emblems — and see both ride out in full 3D, on the map, in battle and through your captain's own eyes. Share a banner or a whole captain with a friend as a short text code.Captains who remember — and keep their word
What your heroes live through is written into a chronicle: the winter they survived, the town they held, the battle they fled. From it they earn traits with small, visible effects, form bonds and rivalries with the captains beside them, and — if they lose faith in you — tell you a day before they refuse to march. As they rise, a captain may swear a vow drawn from his own story: to avenge a defeat, retake a lost town, hold through the winter. Accept it, and he has until his deadline to keep it — for faith and a title — or to break it and carry the bitterness.Forge what you need
Every town can raise a workshop. Gather six kinds of rare components on the map and spend them at the bench: forge artifacts, craft a one-of-a-kind heirloom for your captain, muster extra troops or write spell scrolls.Rivals with a voice
Every empire you share the map with has a name, a crest and a character, and remembers what you did to it. Its envoy states its case in one line and lays out plainly what it offers and what it wants: a truce, a trade, a tribute, a joint war or a cease-fire. Accept, refuse, or write your own letter back.Heroes with a build
Level up and choose from 40 skills, each with three ranks. Equip artifacts — 60 in the catalogue, plus the pieces you forge — and learn spells from six schools: 68 spells, from battle magic to spells you cast on the map.Three campaigns, and a sandbox as big as a planet
Campaign: three campaigns of eight missions each — The Silent Procession, The Horn Line and The Long Ebb — one for each people, one captain carried through all eight, at four difficulty levels.
Skirmish: random worlds in four sizes, laid out in zones with guarded passes, up to a planet-spanning Full Globe whose east and west edges meet at sea; 15 hand-made maps; up to eight seats, free-for-all or teams, four AI levels.
A fair AI: in skirmish a harder AI plays better, not richer — no bonus gold, no extra growth, and it sees only what its own scouts have seen.
Map editor: paint your own world, or open any of the prepared maps and change it.
Hot-seat: up to eight players on one computer.
Two languages: the whole game is fully playable in English and Hungarian, and starts in your Steam language. The tutorial is narrated in English.
