The Hollow

Forty days. One writ. A whole lot of paperwork.

The Hollow has been home for longer than anyone can remember. Then a man in a good coat walks up the track and pins a writ to the Heart Tree. By order of the Crown, on behalf of Lord Aldric Pell and his investors, you have forty days to leave.
You could pack up and go. Or you could gather a band, take to the road, and fight it: in the taverns, in the courts, in the barrow hills, and, if it comes to that, at your own front gate on day forty.
The Hollow is a story-driven, turn-based RPG with a folksy voice and a fair few jokes. It plays like the tabletop: d20 rolls, skill checks, spells, and choices that stay with you.

A HAND-MADE WORLD THAT REMEMBERS
- Walk every place. Mill towns, a toll-bridge troll, fen villages, a royal capital, bathhouses, brothels and barrows. You can go into every door.
- Talk your way through, or don't. Dialogue runs on dice and skill checks. Persuade the clerk, pick the strongbox, or go straight for the man behind the ledger.
- Consequences that follow you. Grudges, kin, wanted posters, companions who approve of you or quietly pack their bags. The court keeps score too.
- Folk who keep hours. Townsfolk work, eat, sleep and lock their doors. There are fair days with contests and prizes, bounty boards, and side quests on every road.

YOUR BAND, YOUR WAY
- 13 lineages and 13 classes, from wizard and warlock to monk and artificer, with the level cap at 10.
- Real turn-based fights. Initiative, positioning, high ground, jumping, sneaking, traps and death saves. Foes have their own tactics.
- Companions with opinions. They banter on the road, argue at camp, form bonds, and tell stories by the fire.
- Survive the road. Hunger, thirst, weather, grime and worn clothes. Forage, hunt, fish, cook from a recipe book, and make camp under the stars.

THREE ACTS, ONE LEDGER
- Act I, The Writ: forty days to save the Hollow, ending in a trial before the King or a stand at your own gate.
- Act II, The Saffron Isle: a southern island of red dunes and jungle cenotes, where the tree your Heart Tree came from is dying.
- Act III, The Long White: the snowbound north, the dwarven counting-house that bankrolled it all, giants owed three hundred years of firewood, and the truth about the blight.
How Act I ends shapes why you sail, who trusts you, and what you can still lose.
