Batter the chicken, drop it in the oil, and pull it out at exactly the right moment for that perfect crunch. Fried, yangnyeom, soy garlic, or half & half. Order tickets keep coming, and the dine-in tables want draft beer too.

Deliver it hot

Ride your scooter through alleys and main roads, in the rain, around stray cats.

At the villa, climb the stairs to the third floor and knock, just like the note says. At the apartment tower, punch in the door code and take the elevator up to the 12th floor. Show up late or soggy and it’ll be in the review.

Catch your own

Every morning you drive the truck up to the farm on the hill. Chase runaway chickens through the orchard, the rice paddies, the bamboo grove and along the stream, and scoop them up with a net. Land a diving catch on a native chicken and the day’s already half made.

Grow the shop, run it with your crew

Knock through to the shop next door, add group seating upstairs and a rooftop terrace. Open branch #2 in Nuae-dong and branch #3 on Neona Island.

Hire up to seven staff, and see exactly who’s prepping chicken and who’s mixing batter, right above their heads.

And then, across the street

There’s the grandma who’s a regular, Mr. Kim ordering for the office dinner, and the customers who can ruin your night with a single star. Then one day, a big franchise called Kingdom Chicken opens right across the street with a 50% grand-opening sale banner.
