The bells rang. The living fell silent. The dead answered.
When the king claimed the Crown of Ash, his kingdom became a prison for the living and the dead. Now, a knight carrying a broken oath must cross ten fallen realms and confront the ruler at the heart of their suffering.
Crown of Mourningfire is a single-player, side-scrolling action platformer that combines gothic pixel art, weapon-based combat, and dangerous platforming. Fight through haunted landscapes, discover hidden supplies, and overcome the guardians blocking your path to the throne.
Fight your way through a fallen kingdom
Journey across 30 areas spanning ten distinct regions. Walk the graves of Gravesong Moor, cut through the hungry forests of Thornwood, descend into flooded catacombs, and climb the storm-battered heights of Stormspire. Beyond lie frozen halls, glowing fungal depths, captive stars, and a world fractured by the void.
Choose your weapon. Find your opening.
Wield the lance, hatchet, dagger, and flame as you battle the kingdom’s creatures. Switch weapons, dodge incoming attacks, and time your strikes around enemy wind-ups and recovery windows. Search for weapon pickups and treasure chests, including rewards tucked away on optional ledges.
Challenge the guardians of ten realms
Defeat a miniboss in every area and a main boss at the end of each region. Face towering threats such as the Briar Colossus, Ossuary Serpent, Furnace Knight, and Thunder Roc. Learn their attack patterns and survive shifting battle phases as you push toward the Ashen Regent.
Follow the road to the crown
Unlock your route across an illustrated world map and revisit cleared areas. Narrated story passages reveal the fate of each realm and the stolen power binding them together.
30 areas across ten regions, each with its own atmosphere and enemies.
