ColorBlend FX: Desaturation is a 2.5D puzzle-platformer metroidvania that weaves a tale of glow, courage, and creativity. Join the Splatians, as they unite to restore the stolen essence back to their world, while trying to find a way to shut-down Lord Ashen, a government project that led to the extinction of the humanity.
"Think like Mario meets Portal in Limbo/Inside setting where a potato gnome have to save the world." Swim in paint pools, get yourself colored, interact with different devices that react to your appearance and don't get slimed out by the S.L.I.M.E.
Explore the overworld, university, physics research facility, railway tunnels, mines. Find & obtain different upgrades, solve puzzles based on colors and physics. Drive trains, mine ore and discover the magical Crystals of Essence and use them on your main mission to recover the chaos.
While made in Bulgaria, the Chinese idea of balance - Yin-Yang - is a major thing in the rich narrative story and lore of Desaturation. There are 69 achievements for you to discover, some are easy and earned by merely progressing, but others will require some grinding and dedication. And when talking about dedication...
A spring will yeet you at some spikes. Or you will fall on those spikes. Or a moving platform will help you only to betray you at the end. Or a S.L.I.M.E. will dash at you. Or a gas canister will fall on your head. And those CHALLENGING BOSSES... you will remember them for sure! Only to fail some parkour and die to fall damage...
Oh and if you are colorblind, don't worry, the game have a mode with color labels to help you.
